OutNAbout - Weekend in Review 11/5 - 11/7

It has been a long time since we have done an Out N About review because I've been so busy trying to keep up with just listing all these fabulous shows! But since I actually had a chance to shop around The Funky Finds Experience, thanks to my mother and husband guarding the booth, I figured now is as good of a time as any to get back in the groove of things!

The Funky Finds Experience

The Experience!

The Funky Finds Experience took place last Saturday and Sunday in Fort Worth. There were over 130 vendors setup at the show, each selling their own handmade products. I could not believe the sheer amount of local artisans and the fantastic variety that they had to offer.

I saw a few old friends and met a lot of talented new vendors! Just a sampling of this crowd would include Crystal of Lil AnnieBell's Soap Co, who sells some of the most fabulous soaps that I have ever put my nose on! (Don't worry, I didn't put my nose on the ones that you bought.) Not too far away was Mary of Mary's Madness. Mary sells... everything! From vintage and recycled jewelry to note cards, watch parts, and much more.

Every time I turned around there was someone amazing, like Gary and Jan Anderson of Anderson Woodworks. These boxes are evidence to the beautiful canvas that nature puts in front of us everyday. With whimsical style and the most natural of color schemes, these boxes really do change your entire room. And, of course, it always works out that I end up with some amazing product hanging out all day just in the corner of my sight line. I stare at it all day, and then suddenly realize that someone might buy it and rush over to make it mine. At this event, it was a stylish scarf by Modest Ambition. All of their hats and scarfs are so modern and well crafted, they can make anyone look fashion forward.

So you might start to notice the problem here. I meet a ton of vendors that were just breath-taking! Not to mention the fantastic staff that spent their weekend keeping the show running smoothly and doing everything they could to make our lives easier. I obviously can't sit here and go through ALL of them. So I just want to take a second and encourage you all to check out the vendor list for the event, and consider some (or all) of these awesome vendors for some (or all) of your holiday shopping!

Big thanks to Jessica and Joe for putting on a fantastic show. I don't know about you, but I can't wait for the Spring Fling.
