Stewstock - Hopkins County Stew Contest

"The World Championship Hopkins County Stew Contest is held October 22-23rd at Buford Park in Sulphur Springs Texas. The event has nearly 8,000 people in attendance and has been happening for 52 years! Festivities start with an appetizer contest and concert after the Friday night HS Football game. The Stew Contest is on Saturday and has almost 200 cooks pots of Hopkins County Stew. The event is $6 for all you can eat stew and vendor booths for our market are $100 for a 10X15 outside booth space."
