This week's giveaway is sponsored by Julie of Coco and Cocoa. When I need to learn more about a shop owner, the first place I usually go is to their profile. The second place, is their blog. Julie's blog is a wonderful example of the passion she feels about handmade products and the pride she takes in her work. Gander at her shop and you'll see what I mean.
Contest ends at 10:00PM on Tuesday, September 06, 2011. Winners will be announced Wednesday, September 07, 2011.
And our winner is.... Amber (hurdler4eva)! You have won this Summer Time Set, including the Summer Time Green Tie and the Summer Time Green Headband, a $35 value. The tie is knitted by hand and the headband is crocheted, all by Julie. The flower on the headband is detachable and so the headband can be worn with or without, or the flower can be pinned separately. The headband ties in the back so it is one size fits all.
Didn't win? Check out Julie's website to pick out a perfect gift, from applique to crochet and knit! Don't see the color you're looking for? Drop Julie an message on Etsy, she is happy to do custom orders!
Wondering about the bonus entry? Well, it was unclaimed for this contest! "If you see my friend, doesn't matter where or where..." - Tell me if you See Kay by The Script.

I prefer crochet. Because it's easier to do for me! And it's a little more delicate in appearance. :)

I prefer crochet because it is the first one i picked up and did easily. Knitting is nice, but it is a lot harder to prefect! Does the reference have to do with a Britney spears song? lol

I love knitting. I think it just looks more "professional" to me.

I like the crochet one better! I think it looks a tad cuter. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

I don't do either; but I love the scarves my mom knits for me. And she also crochets cute little amigurumi too, so I love them both.

I like both! I actually tried knitting & did it for about one minute, but I have a great appreciation for those who are talented AND patient enough to do it!
ReplyDeleteI'm going all the way for the knitted tie...I want to totally rock that with a collared shirt for Fall. ( yes, I'm 30 and a girl...what's it to ya? My nephew is so not getting that ;P )
ReplyDeleteAs far as fiber is concerned...I'm a crocheter just b/c all of my friends knit and want to take me over to the dark side. I'm a rebel!
I prefer knitting just because I have fond memories of watching my grandmother knit & of all of the sweaters she knitted me.

I learned how to knit first - so I suppose I feel more comfortable with it - BUT I love the all the possibilities and the looks you can come up with in crocheting!

I have no idea about the reference-- Calvin Klein?
ReplyDeleteI guess I prefer crochet since it's what my grandma did.

Close Knit? Is that it?? I posted my entry earlier.
ReplyDeleteI prefer crochet, since I learned how when I was just a teenager - or maybe younger. BUT in my 50's I am trying to learn to knit.
ReplyDeleteCrochet & Knitting are both great,it seems so labor intensive to me. I don't thing I could choose one over the other cause every item made using either method comes out great :)
